Simplisity with style. How do you hold a board by its tip in 35 knot winds?

I also like the upside down action. Is that called a Deadman?

he is gripping it by the fin, it's not hard to hold it from there actually it is the easiest board off you can do, because from the tail you can pull out your legs one at a time, and then put them back in one at time too while with the center handle you need to coordinate both legs in and out of the straps at the same time.

You'll need to ask Toby about the deadman that's not my thing.

I can see how that would be easy in 20 knots.... but 30+? how does it not get pulled from your hand? in those winds i can angle the board and feel the lift from the board!

well you you aren't stationary in regards to the wind you are going downwind and you do have a good grip. it's not hard to hold the board. Putting it back on and landing with style that's the hard part. You'll see.

If you take the board of and go upside down it is a King Deadman.
If you go upside down with board on feet and hands down it is a deadman.

The board flies with you...so you need less energy to hold it like in Kevin's trick.

Awesome height! Too high to go very technical on hooked tricks (like with rotations).

Happy that a strap rider won, they have way more variety.

Hopefully more next year!

I also struggle getting the board back on in 25kn+. The wind just keeps blowing it horizontally down wind when holding by the fin. I wonder if its easier to put the board back on by using the handle in strong winds.

It is easier with the handle.
You need to be more flexible though.
Add a Flysurfer grab rail and maybe that will give you more strength to hold it.

For me the Tweaked Table Top is one of the most stylish non rotational jumps you can do over a wave. At it looks particularly good with a directional.

Ill go for deadman next. I was upsidesown. just need to take the hands off the bar.

My mutant at 144x43 is a tad too big and heavy for board off action. But a light weight boosting board is in the build project. After I build that the board offs can occur.

Table TOP
this picture is a tweaked grab...
if Table Top, then the board is above the rider

Is there a dictionary of trick terms somewhere?

I have no idea what most of the tricks are called.
