I see in the most recent results that 14 foilboards and 7 raceboards competed. The foilboards took the first 4 places overall, led by Johnny Heineken.

How can one see the comparisons ?

On the link page it seems there are only individual class scores, so a "1" in each class.

Can one see that the foils took the 4 first anywhere ?

And how many classes started at the same time ?

I doubt that they all did

They were going to start Formulas and Hydro separately but ended up doing it together because the numbers weren't huge. Ricci posted on FB that he was 4th, he's so fast on a raceboard you can see why he hasn't switched to foils. I never get to see the top ten finish so I have no idea on what the actual order was :) Downwind still seems to be the key to winning (as well as maneuvers), that's where the gains and losses seemed to be the biggest.

Tough, tough night again. The start of the one race we had was delayed, started, and delayed before finally starting. A big flood tide lead to some super flat water, but effectively meant we lost 3 to 4 knots of wind off a light and patchy breeze. I missed the start in all the confusion and after heading in to get a 13m when a 11m seemed a bit small. Once again we had carnage on the course and a busy set of race committee boats picking up downed kites and riders. It's frustrating when we've had good wind almost everyday since the last no wind race and it disappears on race day! The five people that finished (all on foils) made it look easy again. Yes five people out of ~40 of us finished! Johnny and Chip sent waves of interest through the fleet after using their 12m (I think) Chrono's. They certainly seem to hang in the air longer than anything else.
Place Rider Kite Foil Board
1 Johnny Heineken Chrono 12m(?) Sword Mike's Lab
2 Joey Pasquali ASV Spotz ASV
3 Stefanus Viljoen Ozone 11m(?) Spotz Pickle
4 Chip Wasson Chrono 12m(?) Spotz Mike's Lab
5 Nico Landauer Didin't see

Sorry, I'll try and get kite sizes in future, it's tricky when you're trying to get ready to race too though.

I've seen Nico in San Diego a lot this spring. He's been riding a KFA foil and Ozone kites along with a couple of Chronos when it's really light. I can't remember who makes his board.

Camet. It's a funny looking thing with a huge double concave running through the nose and really sharp rails. I didn't get to ask him what the the idea was behind the concave. No racing tonight, the wind didn't want to come to the party again. I think it's been sailable 13 days out of the last 14. We just keep getting skunked every second Thursday! Foil nationals start tomorrow. Three days of maybe four races a day. I'll be sleeping well on Sunday.

Hmmm. Interesting. First place was taken by a rider on a foil kite.
:thumb: I thought those weren't much good for anything.

I wonder if PMU noticed it. ? :angryfire:

Sorry, couldn't resist... :naughty:

Very exciting to watch the live podcast. It looks like the order in almost every race today was Johnny Heineken, Joey Pasqually and then Adam Withington..

It could change tomorrow with different wind conditions.
