According to the videos seen a few weeks ago (videos floating around before the official launch), the Park 2015 seems to have kept the same static bridle length.
New graphic but specs look similar to 2014. Need confirmation though.

Hey Phil,
do you have any links to videos? I haven´t seen anything...
What is to expect from the new park: new bar (hopfully less tearing of depower rope, better swivel), new inflating/deflationg valve, ??? something more?

Thanks Westozzy! I hope the park will be still great for waveriding. I like all disciplines and don´t want a specific kite for each... And hopefully they keep the static bridle, but a bit shorter :)

No the park is still in production as far as I know. Apparently it's moved more along the freestyle/ wakestyle spectrum with the pivot coming in with its surf capabilities.

yeah it'll be a tough choice :-) The park this year was so good.

Found the Park never round in the turns while waveriding, ok turn initation, then nothing and a sudden spike, and it's not just me finding this irritating...especially while riding waves...
Really curious about the Pivot, has been some while that I've been eager to try a new Naish kite... Fast turning and great low end is important for me. The appearantly good jumping is a welcome bonus..

Hi WaveRider001,
hope that helps (just need to "google" a bit) - no infos about the bridles though

seems that the Alana will be based upon the Pivot for next year not upon the Park

Hi Gonzolinho,
wow, I did google a lot... I´m wondering how you found this "official" pic????
So, it looks like they put the park more into freeride/freestyle direction, but the shape seems too me very close to last year´s model...
I like the park also for waveriding, so I hope they don´t change anything major... I like one simple kite for all disciplines: wave, freestyle, wakestyle... I don´t know why so many companies have many specific kites in their lineup... Many people choose between waveriding and freestyle daily, depending on conditions... I don´t want to carry different models in the same size...

They have specific kites because some riders prefer a specialised style or they take the opinion that you are better to a couple of specialised kites, one for say wakestyle and one for say wave riding. There is merit in that argument, depending on how far down the rabbit hole you do into each discipline. But for most of us, yeh the all rounder...which all have their own flavour and their own fortes along the spectrums.

Hey Taut (or anyone else, feel free to answer), since you seem to be the expert in Naish kites around here, tell me: I have a Park 2012 12m, which I am thinking to sell in order to get another 12m, more recent: I like it very much, but better low-end would definitely help...
Until a week ago, I thought I would wait and see if the Park 2015 would have any real new feature... And if not, I would go for the Park 2014 (got it in 8m, love it).
But I recently got to fiddle with the "Grunt" setting on my 12m, and it really looked like it made quite a difference, allowing me to ride in light wind with "maximum grunt", when I generally put it on "max depower" (and it was not enough to go upwind in 10 knts).
Since 2014, they took this option off (so they could set it with a static briddle I guess). So here is my question: has the 2014 Park better low-end than the 2013 Park set on maximum Grunt?

Still waiting to see what they changed for 2015, the Pivot looks nice enough, but even though I do go strapless when I have the occasion, my program is more freestyle-oriented, so I'll stay with the Park I guess.

@ sgallian:
never had a 2012 Park but had the 2013 version (short only) was not too happy with the low end allthough I heard that the 2013 model should already have more power than the 2012 version. Anyway, now I have the 2014 Parks (14/11/8) and the 2013 Drafts (17/12) [I know I am an equipment freak] and can say that the 14m and 11m Parks of 2014 have a lot of power. I weigh 245lbs/110kg so I need some grunt and the 14m really delivers. The 11m as well but I use it when most are on 9s or smaller, so no real comparison for you except you are also a heavy weighter. Funnily I can use the 14m Park when most are on 12s or some even on 14s too. I use a big board then though. For real lightwind I take the Draft as it has monster grunt. To get back to the point: The Park 2014 has definately more power than the 2013 and keeps me going easily. It is also turning quickly. My friends complained that the 14m is too slow but they weigh only 70 to 75kg and it makes a big difference in steering when you can throw 245lbs/110kg against or "only" 75kg. Regarding sizes of 2014 there seems to be a big step from 14m to 12m. 12m and 11m are more or less equal but 11m to 10m is also a big step. 10m to 9m not that big again but 9m to 8m big again. We are three "technically and equipment interested" buddies and that is what we found out by switching between all these sizes. We all have Parks as our kites. We are no dealers, teamriders..... we pay for our kites. But we are Naish fans just to keep that in mind. So if you ask me then a Naish Park will always be better than a Cabrinha Switchbalde, North Evo,.... :cool2:

@Gonzolinho: thank you very much for taking the time to give me all that info.
Though, have you tried to change the Grunt setting at the time? I usually do not touch it (did not seem like it was doing much until late), but was really impressed by the surge of power last time I used it (maybe there was just more wind? did not look like it though)...
So I was afraid that by choosing a 2014, I would loose the possibility to get a better low-end, but if you say that it is way better anyway, then it's a no brainer, since there is the bonus of a faster responsive kite...
But now they add the Pivot to their line-up, and it has really good reviews, with people claiming it is better in many ways than the Park... Well, they said that for the Ride too, and I was personnally not too impressed by it...
In the end, I will surely end up getting the Park, just because I won't have the chance to test the Pivot, and I know already how the Park behaves, so I'll go the safe way...

And you're talking to a Naish fan too: chose them for my first kite because of the Bolt and its reputation for handling gusty winds (which worried me as a beginner in a place where there is only gusty wind). Ended up appraising almost everything about their kites. On occasion, had the chance to try other brands, and every time I was wondering why would anyone buy anything else than Naish... Well, they're not perfect (swivel, hard 2012 bar...), but way closer to it than others for me...
