I could be just plain androgynous, all those years riding with the Bracklesham Bay Gays..

Riding kites that don't need balls.

But then I heard some dealers are going to be offering these as an introductory offer with Core Kites..

But then I met this nice chap on the English kite forum who introduced me to this stuff
and after an intensive course they now look like this.

So I'm ready for when my GTS3 turns up, which will be any day soon.

That's a funny post!

+1

Good luck with the core. What size did you get? 24m to match those balls?

Can't argue with them...

Better than having to be fitted for a North in their X-ray fitting machine.

I have an XR3 17m... who gives a shit about the colors? Great overall kite. Bar is pretty exceptional also and good range with the trim strap. My 17 can handle upwards of 18 kts gusts. I never feel uncomfortable on the top end. Its most comfy around 11-13 KTS on a 138 TT. Pretty solid with a LW board/surfboard at 9-10kts. (I weight 170lbs geared up). Very easy to point upwind and drifts nice for surf. Like others said... good for all types of riding. Overall very happy with it and may get a full quiver of XR3s (or XR4s when they come out) next year or the year after.

Only comment is I wish they provided a nozzle and pump hose with delivery. The nozzle ends on my pump hoses do not fit easily into the speed valve causing air to leak when near full pump. I contacted Core about this and they explained why: All the newer pumps are using nozzle ends never used before creating a compatability issue. So they sent me a nozzle but they should just include a hose and correct nozzle with delivery (that's like a $3 part). Otherwise you need to use old(er) nozzels/pumps.

GregWoj, there is a different size o-ring that was provided with some of the Core XR3's. (The o-ring is within the opening on the kite). I don;t know if you knew this or if you might still have the spare o-ring. If you do have it try it and hopefully that solves your problem. I use a standard hose on my XR3's and have no problem.

I did the o-ring swap and it solved my air leakage problem. Easy fix, but there was no mention of the spare o-ring in the user's guide.

An easy fix is to put some electrical tape around your pump tube, it works awesome
