I have 2 questions
My bar padding is starting to show some were the bar is good but the pAdding is worn to the point that some plastic is showing.
Is there anywrap that looks good and works in water what are people doing.

Plus when I'm done with my season my kites stay in the bag for 3-7months
Should I rinse them off with fresh water to get the salt water off and let them dry or should I just air blow the sand out?

Search for squash grip on Ebay, I have been using stuff with yonex on it. You'll need to strip the old grip off, key the bar with sandpaper. Use a contact adhesive, quick drying stuff is best. Coat tape as you put it on. Start middle over wrapping end then move out with 50% overlap, finish with wrap around bar ends and tape end to secure. You'll need a roll for each side of the bar. If you use quick drying contact adhesive it will be ready to use other wise wait a few days.

Hockey tape works perfectly.
Its also easy to apply, cheap and you need no glue.
