Red Bull King of the Air 2014 - Exclusive Highlights Premier

2014 was Kevin Langeree’s year. And what an epic showdown it was! All the action was documented in 24min documentary that will shown for a limited time only.

Cape Town’s Big Bay will once again play host to the world’s best kiteboarders in 2015 as they go head-to-head in a unique ‘flag out’ competition format.

The third South African edition of Red Bull King of the Air – the biggest big air kite event in the world – will feature 24 riders, 12 returning competitors from the 2014 event and 12 wildcard entries.

Online for two weeks only

Even if you’ve never harnessed into a kite or gone anywhere near a board, this exclusive premiere is worth 24-minutes of your life. It’s showing online for a very limited time only, go press play now.

Get your videos ready!

The wildcards will be selected from the online video comp. So, think you’ve got what it takes to fly with the world’s best? Start sorting footage, getting some clips down and tweaking the edits because entries open early September.

To participate in the online video comp your video has to be five minutes long and show off your air skills and technical riding flair. A jury will judge all videos and select the top eight, who will be invited to enter the event.

Maybe not All other sports .

A small 1,200-meter continuous gain on a borrowed Gin Carrera para glider , while
all your buddies are stuck thousands of feet below, and under the inversion-layer ; that's a Cool
feeling ALSO !!! :D

Doing that with No instruments , "Was" Priceless ; they all got me drunk, just
to shut me Up .

The Feeling is All Relative, to the sport your doing at the time ; and i suspect
there are Lots of Guys here on the forum, that will say the same ?

Fantastic video, really well produced.
The riding is just insane.
I don't know how they pick a winner when they all go that well out there.
What is funny, is that the kiters were so stoked about the size of the crowd being bigger than last year......and then you think about how many people will show up for a semi professional Baseball game.
We get bigger crowds here in Austin to watch a local cycling event!
Really reminds you that kiteboarding is still on the fringe.
King of the Air is a great contest, hope Red Bull keeps on with it for years to come.
