New hydrofoil sport: Jet-Foiling

Postby fun2kite » Thu Jul 24, 2014 7:38 am

Well, here is an idea for a future sport: Jet-Foiling!

Take idea from this below video, and instead of a windsurfing board he is using, you get onto a foil board. Foil board requires much less thrust and u would be able to ditch the kite and foil with minimum thrust of these jet engines.

Another variation which is more practical from the battery point of view will be to still keep the kite and use electric jet engines to get going in very light wind. Once you up and ridding, jet engine would be off and you will use the kite power to keep going.

Just got to wait till the guy makes these waterproof so, you can safely fall without destroying your power source.

Comments? Maybe some of you guys who are hardware and DYI types can take this idea and accelerate it to market? :-) Lets start the discussion

Put those things on 20 meter lines and then you are talking. You would be the most popular person on the beach.
