Hey supa,

I've been kiting in Titusville for two years on flat water. I really want to get into the ocean. I grew up surfing at 12th st. Any pointers for a new ocean rider? Should i start with a twin tip? Where is the best beginner beach?

If what you are used to is twin tip then it is fine to begin with
I see some guys learning the ocean that do down winders on their twin tips starting from 13th street

They go past my street (5th) all the way to 520 cswy or Cherie Down Park on SE to SSE winds
Where they can take a trolley / bus back to 13th street...you do need to bring flip flops to get on bus
No barefoot allowed

On NNE to NE wind they do their down winders towards 13th..start 520 or Cherie D.

You can just go back and forth in front of where you launch also in the ocean with your twin tip

It is fun to learn to use a surfboard with a kite and more suited in the waves
We see less and less TT's in the surf....all the guys i ride with have switched
You are welcome to ride at our street with us
