I would have a hard time picking a kite surfboard from there new line up.

You obviously havn't found the 'surfboard finder' on the site then? The kite selector's great, doesn't matter which style you select it recommends every kite pretty much ha. Fucking lame.

Does the Contra still require the 1XL bar or can it be flown off the standard length bar?

You can use either size bar for the Contra as the new flagging line is the same on both. The only difference is the bar length. That said, most riders will probably enjoy the bigger kites more on a bigger bar (especially in lighter / marginal conditions).

Siren line is gone. Low interest in female oriented kites?

No - not low interest, quite the opposite. However, only offering one color in one of our extensiive models of kites (Switchblade) wasn't ideal. We pushed the art direction towards colors and graphics that were interesting to both sexes so that we aren't pigeon holing any product to a gender, or pushing any gender to just one product. The 2015 control system has been redesigned to make the trim adjusters closer for everyone and loop is easy to change out for a smaller one. Not just women like to have a smaller loop and closer trim adjusters, so this works better for everyone. :)

I really like the new colour scheme this year. It's up to par with the awesome 2013s. Except the chaos which is just left over colours from last year...

It's nice that the bar and kites are separated this year. Buying 4 kites/4 bars with 2 bars I never used didn't seem cost efficient. One bar can cover my 7,10,13 now.

Pump no longer standard/included, pay extra for a pump

Three options for the bar:
Adjustable for a list price of $569
or you can buy a fixed size 45 or 55 for list price of $439 <---- good option Cabrinha!

I assume a bag is included...but I can't find anywhere where is says definitively yes, bag included.
Some brands sell you the bag separate.

So, list price of 2014 12m Switchblade (with bar, bag, pump): $2108
list price of 2015 12m Switchblade: $2,118...add the pump and you have $2,166

The good thing is that you can get the kite, a fixed bar, no pump for $1,988

(prices from MacKiteboarding)

We sell pump, kite and control system separately because we have three options of control systems available now: Overdrive Quickloop 1X, Quickloop 1X fixed, and Velocity.

That's definitely a typo error on their website. From 10M up those cells should all be shifted to the right of the wind range chart.

The wind ranges on the Switchblade are the same for 10m and 11m. That doesn't sound right.
Also, all kites smaller than 10 have shifted to the left on the wind range chart...shape change (improvement) in the smaller sizes?

So, the "Radar" is basically a Vector with a new name?
