Ronix shite

Postby raddec » Thu Sep 18, 2014 10:13 am

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone had similar problem. I bought franks this year in may/june all together with clash board as a set from www.rideclash.com. Stitching on both tongues are gone (both boots). Also left boot tongue wounds my leg, there is smthg under material that sticking out and causing the wound. It's the top part of the boot, left side inside the boot. I was trying to return them and I've contacted seller and also robix dealer but they gave me the runaround. From the seller I got that info:
"I had to put tape around the tongue of some boots I had because I had the same problem as you. Anyway, I’ll write to x, let’s see what happen. Regarding your wound I had the same one, I had to put a band-aid or similar over it because it gets worse. And the better product to heal the wound is Blastoestimulina. In Spain that’s the name, but I don’t know how is called in your country"

Wtf?!? I've paid over €400 hard earning money for that kind of shite.

And the ronix dealer who deal with rideclash asked me who is my dealer. Haha isn't it funny??

Did anyone have similar situation and solve it? Pls help as I'm loosing patience.

Peace & love

Mine fell apart too, plus the centre part of the plastic lacing cinches always fell out, got lost and had to be replaced a few times.

Happy with my switch to Liquid Force Vantages...

Same here, and I get the same burns on my shins once in a while from my ronix ones. Can't wait until they're totally fallen apart so I can get a pair of the new LF LFK bindings

You guys should contact Ronix warranty, their boot quality may be questionable, but their warranty department is absolutely killer, well... or at least in my experience.

I went through 1 pair of districts and 2 pairs of code55's in about a year and half, stitching and glue issues. I gave up with Ronix and trying out hyperlite systems.

Ronix warranty is 1 year, so give them a chance.

Ronixs warranty is crap.

I had their own M6 Screws they delivered with the boots snap on my third session destroying the plate. They said that they do not warranty any boots or parts that have been used in salt water. Great for all of us Kitesurfers.

Switched to Hyperlite systems now.

I have tried a few brands of binding over the years unfortunately due to salt, UV and blunt force trauma they all die in the end.

However, of the brands I have tried pound-for-pound, year-on-year the most durable and comfortable by far have been the Liquid Force Watson's. They are a little heavy for kiting but they seem to last and definitely take care of your ankles.

Never heard of Ronix not warranting a pair if its within the year time frame. They are known to fall apart but that is why they are so light. They are probably the most comfortable boots on the market but not the most durable. Hell from my experience none are really all that durable. I can't find a boot that will last a full year with out falling apart.

Definitely go straight to the warranty department.
