Is anyone using a race setup as light wind, even if not interested in racing?
I was thinking in getting a 2012 Cabrinha Race.

On a twin tip, I went as big as Cabrinha Stylus 145 paired with a Naish Fly 15m. It's fun for me starting on 11-12 knots.
Now I sold the Stylus and got a Misfit 142 to try to make a more vivid ride. I didn't try it yet. I keep the Fly by now, but I would like to try the Ocean Rodeo Flite 17m. I like the Cab Contra, but that's kind of expensive stuff.

Where are people riding with these super-duper light wind setups? For winds down as little as 5 kn, its gotta be very smooth, constant wind. Even for my 17M Turbine and Glide, it has to be at least 12 knots for me to get going at all. Hopefully I can get that down a few more knots once I get a hydrofoil.

13 knots is starting to be pretty good here.

8-10 SS turbine 2014 with Nobile skimboard
8-12 SS turbine with Core Fusion 149X44 board
10-15 SS turbine with Clash reincarnation 138x40.5 (same board in 35 knots....AMAAAAZING)
THEN:

10-15 SS RPM 14m (2013) with the Fusion 149x44
12-23 SS RPM 14m with the Clash 40.5

For me, 14m=10 knots then 1 knot per meter
12m=12knots
10m=14knots
17m=7knots
These are not averages, they are the lowest lull I can handle (going-staying upwind)...

Core GTS3 15 and the big ass LW Fusion 152, I haven't got any pictures of it all, only the light wind bar flower that goes so well with the colour scheme. 6 knots I'm planing, the petals on the flower hardly move..

MarianoMoll - my sector V2 is roughly equivalent to the 2012 cabrinha race board (or is it 2011?).
