Guess LF finally realized the CPR was giving folks a heart attack.

Eventually all bars (like this one here) will look like a north bar.

The new safety is definitely easier to release than the CPR, also super easy to reset.

North have been the benchmark for lots of brands to aim for but this bar has a few extras such as the swivel above and below the bar, super easy to adjust trimmer position and the bar length adjustment is much simpler to change than North, just push the button and twist, you could even do it while riding!

The good thing I liked about the CPR was that it had a really good loop for unhooking as it was wide and rigid, the Response is the same with a wide top which keeps the loop open

Was North the first one with this basic bar setup?

I know that this is basically a 100% copy of the Blade Unibar with added 2nd swivel and on the fly size adjust vs. before you launch adjust. But Blade might have copied North's design.

I have to say though that this is by far the best basic setup for a kite bar so whoever first came up with it kudos.

Yeah I've been playing around with what I want to install on my ideal bar and the Response bar has most of it. Just needs some Oh Shet! handles (I really like those handles on my Slingshot Comp Stick).

Debating making my custom bar out of an old 2013 LF CPR bar or just buying a Response bar; the cost savings are barely there since buying lines, conversion kit, etc. comes out to alot.

The Trust bar isn't hard to change size while riding. That is as long as it's a 2014 or 2015, 2013 buttons sucked. I do it all the time when I forget to do it on the beach. Hell my friend has even ridden with the floaters completely off...wouldn't recommend that though

How is the Response coming along in terms of coming out? I am dying to construct or buy a new bar and have been waiting on this to come out since Sept.

the only thing i don't like is the depower throw.
but that might be getting used too from the cpr bar with the long throw.
overall this bar is great.
the quick release is really quick to release and reassemble.
love having 2 swivels.

I must have got a lemon....... My 2014 north quad bar is a complete bitch to adjust line length on. I haven't been able to do so without a small pry such as my keys or a small stick. I definitely wouldn't be able to do it while riding. I ride my 2012 5th bar with floaters off because they ripped off... along with the rubber grip, but this is my favorite bar.

Below the bar swivel
I love that it has a manual below the bar swivel in addition to the above the bar auto swivel.
All of those above the bar center line swivels jam up with sand and stop rotating when you need them to (i.e. ocean downwinders with a lot of downloops in one direction). It's nice that they acknowledge that and instead of trying to re-invent the top swivel, put in a manual option below. Smart!
I hope other manufacturers follow this pattern.
