I had a set of those once, they were useful when learning to ride strapless surfboard in the waves, helped to get out over the big whitewater but they were too "floppy" , I see you made a way to make them more rigid.
They are called NSI "Kling On", At $50 plus shipping I'd make a set before buying them again, they are just 3 layers of high density closed cell foam with a layer of thin plastic for the bolt head to sit against.
I think I'll go with two angled front loose footstraps for these boards.

Lots of kiting at Aurora reservoir, Colorado. We've been foiling there for several months and would be glad to help. We'll be there this Saturday, if it's not frozen! Foiled the Laguna Madre last week at South Padre Island. 30" is the magic number for maximum strut length. Any longer and it's too shallow.

Sorry JW but I think you ment to write 30 inches, 76 cm, is the MINIMUM strut length? :?:
If not then I will kindly disagree and say for all the home builders that 85 cm to 100 cm seems to work best.I use 90 now. You can compare all the strut lengths of the for sale KBHFs on the market now.
I do understand that you fly flat H20 there in the columbine state and would agree shorter struts are stiffer, but I do not want the new builders to get missinformed.
76 cm is to short to fly in any chop, swell and waves.
Which leads me to a thought. If you are ONLY going to fly flat H20 then maybe a shorter strut 80 to 85 is not a bad idea?
Would you please rephrase "any longer and its to shallow" I do not understand this sentence?
By the way Boulder is the best and along with Den ( the city and the poster here) cool there is a CO connection here. :thumb:

REV-
he means any longer than 30" is too long to kite in the "Laguna Madra" This Laguna Madre is what the shallow inland waterway in Texas is called.

Aurora is a pretty long haul for me, by the time I get these boards completed it will likely be frozen anyway. maybe I'll get up there in the spring.
