Nice video , glad to see you are so stoked by this awesome sport. I personal enjoy all my kites from 7m to 17m . As long as I am powered up and able to boost and hang of the bar to learn new tricks I am happy. Yes 9m riding is great but I enjoy my 12m just as much, nothing boring about a 12m and 24mph winds. Unless you live at the gorge or a high wind location, don't fall into the trap of only liking small kites, you just wont get out that much, and that's not fun!!
Don't worry I don't think I will be one of those who don't kite if they have to use anything bigger than 10m.
My bandit 12m is definitely not boring, it is pretty fast and responsive on its upper range.
I am just surprised as I thought 9m was just hype because I saw a lot of people using 9m underpowered when i was a bit overpowered on my 12, I figured the bigger the better but now I understand what the hype was about. I didn't expect the sensation to be so different.
I still believe that I will rather be overpowered than underpowered so I will probably stick to my 12m unless gusts are above 25 knots.
I just started this September so I am still enjoying those 10-12 knots session even if i have to walk up the beach, there is always a little gust showing up to boost and have fun on those session. I also enjoy those conditions as the water is pretty flat.
Though NY is getting cold and gusty so I probably won't go out unless it is 15 and lulls are above 8/9 as I don't really want my kite to fall out of the sky on lulls and hang out in freezying water.
