"this guy in the parking lot is asking for you and I think he has some drugs "
"this guy in the parking lot is asking for you and I think he has a subpoena"
"this guy in the parking lot is asking for you and I think he has a gun"
"this guy in the parking lot is asking for you and I think he has a disease"
just kidding, kite instructors are good people

8. "can I go now?" and the equivalent "is that guy too close?"

typical scenario: student in water, kite at 12, feet finally in straps, ready to go. then a mediocre kiter decides he has to keep kiting in a straight line all the way to shore and couldn't possibly adjust. so number 9 is the idiot mediocre kiter yelling 'starboard' to insist on right of way

I've taught well over 1000 students over the years and seriously have enough stories that I could write a book.
Most common- "I got THIS bro, I used to ride dirt bikes!"
Most douchey- "If you can't teach me to kite in 3 hours, then you're a bad instructor" (no previous experience, worst listener ever, and of course "used to be a snowboarder") He kept crashing the kite and threw a temper tantrum ( beating up the water) out in the water with the kite still hooked to him, so he got worked over, and over and over again.
He them stuck my paypal for 300 bux, and left me a nasty review- because he couldn't learn in 3 hours. :bye:

One day, it was blowing like 35 knots and the student had never even flown a trainer kite. I told him it was simply too windy to let him fly a kite, so he threw a fit like a little girl and screamed "I took the day off of work for this!" Well, after about 15 minutes of him whining, I said "OK man, I'll show u how windy it is" and put up a 3m Slingshot trainer. Once he got the bar, he immediately let go with one hand, the kite looped about 100 times, and he ran/ got pulled like a chicken on fire for 100 yards straight into the mangroves- never letting go of the bar.
BwaHahaha was the funniest shit ever!
We recover the kite, and he says "MAN, I had NO IDEA the wind was that strong. You were right".
He then got into his car and I never saw him again. :D

6 must be so true, started learning only last month and remember saying that my first time bodydraging, was really surprised by how much and how fast a kite can pull you since inside the water it did not seemed that fast and we where 2 guys on a 12mSB in a wind averaging 15knots.
