Riding a board upside down

Postby KristianE86 » Wed Oct 07, 2015 6:53 pm

Is it generally possible to drag out sitting on the bottom of a hydrofoil as shown at 0:23? I guess small boards are out of the question and the key is low rocker.

There's also a Horue vid where he rides the board upside down standing up. One hand on bar, one hand on foil to stabilise. Looks like an amazing way to get out deep if you can pull it off. I'm sure as you say rocker plays a big part.

Getting out is difficult in dead onshore with waves - here I would like to see them doing the board upside down trick with straps on :D

And in this particular case we are not looking at the average Joe on a hydrofoil, but mister Nicolas Caillou, the founder of Zeeko ;)

Indeed Phillipe from Horue is also an outstanding hydrofoil artist.
Cannot wait to see new footage of him playing strapless around!

Indeed, awesome !

This was THE very video that made me 100% sure I should hydrofoil, no doubt :naughty:

And please notice it is from summer 2011, amazing skills by Marc at that time :D

8) PF

PS: Standing on the bottom like that would hardly work well in normal barefoot style - but one could wax the bottom maybe ?
