Update on goejoe. It worked pretty much as planned on my Maui trip. Mostly I used my surfboard but
I had a couple of twintip sessions. First thing at Kanaha was a big downloop turn wipeout-the board stalled in
the turn and a gust hit while the kite looped. I was a long way downwind from the board. With the goejoe I could see the
board just fine. It didn't exactly sail downwind to me-it had a tendency to go at right angles to the wind on a wave face-but
it certainly went downwind more than it would have without the goejoe. I might have given up on that one without it.

Other times it just made it easier.

Kook status-all I got were a few comments on what a good idea it was from other kiters.

Now back at Bodega I've retired it until next time I go to a challenging bodydrag place.
With the current at Raglan it probably wouldn't help much.

I use a plastic bottle, for visibility. The pliers help with unscrewing the cap at the end. (If not tightened well, the bottle has a tendency to fall off.)
