Hey all,
I am on my way back from a week's foiling at Pointe D'Esny, staying in La Case Mama, €30 per night on Airbnb.
Jerome Bonieux who organised last year's Hydrofoil pro tour has now set up a proper kite/foil school / clinic offering everything from basic kite lessons (using a boat and 121 to maximise the speed of learning), foil technique - roll tacks, basic air gybes, full on foil race training and best of all (IMHO), foil trips with boat support.
I had a gybing lesson and another guy had a roll tack lesson and both were excellent - Jerome would lead us around watching exactly what we were doing wrong and provide instant tips on how to be better and it worked.
As long as you go where you are meant to go the coral isn't an issue. If you can, PD should be very high on your foiling agenda and if the wind doesn't blow - it's not a bad place to be anyway.
