I ride LF Solos and the bags are a bit lacking so I'm thinking about getting a Switch bag, but it's $75 so I need to make sure it's worth getting vs. using one of my old Blade bags which are pretty good.
I'm interested in the "50% larger zip option", I'd like a bag that I can somewhat easily pack my 12m + 9m solo in. I can fit them both in my Blade bag if I fold them neatly but I want to be able to just roll them up and smish them in.
Anyone out there with the Switch bag know if it'll be good for what I want or should I look for something else?
There are the "gear trunk" style bags buy them seem comically too big:

I can fit my Helium 18m in standard size bag, so 2 Solos in expanded bag should be no problem at all.
Bag is fine. Some people don't like the small pocket, but IMO it's big enough for some tools and a drink. Has a separate bar pocket, pump straps, board straps, repair kit. And it won't break on you.

Yeah they're good. They were better when they were $40.....
They will fit some bigger kites in there without having to do the extra zip expand-O thing (12m-14m). I prefer them to the stock bags that came with my Naishs.
$75 can buy some pretty damn nice bags.
Speaking of which, if there are any Pro Limit dealers on here sitting with Session bags in stock shoot me a PM. I'll take one.
(as long as you're not some super remote place in the world and going to charge me a gajillion dollars for shipping....)

Spend considerably less and get a bag that wears suprisingly well (plus is super light weight for air travel)

PS Can squeeze 2 regular kites in one if they are well folded. Fits one with ease if packed away in a hurry to avoid the approaching rain shower

The zips will probably still go on those North Face bags eventually with the salt and sand. I've never understood why manufacturers bother with zips on kite bags. A fold over flap with clips or a drawstring make much more sense to me. Right now I have a heap of North bags with broken zips which are good for nothing
Those Ikea bags are a great shout though even if the zips don't last long!

Ikea bag, one webbing strap. Will cost 2-3 dollars.

I like mine a lot, they held up to plenty of undesigned for abuse as I toured Australia with my kites using the tightening straps to secure it to them to the bike and each other. I often fly with one as a checked bag with full confidence in the materials and zippers holding. If I fold my 18m well I squeeze it and a 10m in the same bag, but a 18m and 7m is more comfortable, so you'd have no trouble.

That's the Prolimit Session bag? As the sewing on my Naish kitebags (2015 AND 2016
) has deteriorated to the point that I now have additional holes to lose sand through, I may look into that.
