Energy Drinks What They Can Do?

Some people getting cancer and some people brain hemorrhage. Why?
"The doctors concluded (after running his tox screen and ruling out drugs
that this horrible event was due to his recent excessive energy drink consumption
a habit he had built when he started working longer hours and commuting)." :naughty:

Energy drinks and alcohol can, (and have) killed people :

Well, I highly distrust energy drinks, wouldn't touch them with a bargepole, but I am not ready to believe this is a real story. The guy is missing half his brain, and is still walking around?

Smoking causes cancer. Alcohol causes cancer. Being alive causes cancer. A brain injury can happen by accident during kite surfing. I dont imagine anyone giving up due to a "possibility" .
We all know the media love to blow things out of proportion.
I for one won't stop drinking energy drinks because of a one off.

... excessive energy drink consumption ...
"Excessive" is the key word here. Name anything "excessive" which won't get you killed. Even HO2 would!

Cancer is extremely sophisticated decease, and one reason for it just doesn't cut it. However, current understanding is that during stress organism immune system pays less attention to doing its housekeeping job. For example, when one consumes too much alcohol, their liver works hard digesting it, and some other important organism maintenance functions get neglected.

This brings up somewhat surprising idea, wouldn't cancer rates among triathlon and marathon runners be higher than in "normal" population?

This is 1 person out of all the millions and millions of people in the united states drinking energy drinks.

It's ok, 1 Red bull every once in a while isn't going to put a hole in your head...

Hmm...dunno about using DailyMail as a source, but this is the third different explanation I've heard for this guy's condition: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... njury.html

I'm sure CNN will set the Trumpsters off: http://edition.cnn.com/2016/10/20/healt ... index.html

So it seems like DUI to crash is the cause. Pass the Monster.

Well. Maybe we should transfer this information to the pro helmet squad.

Unbelievable. Just shows how much of our brain we use, I guess.
