Eleveight RS would be the way to go I'd say .

Or Cabrinha Switchblade, I use the 2018 model and bar pressure is honestly no issue at all . I think the older models where heavy pressure but it's changed a lot since then.

The switchblade boosts just amazingly and the jumps are so floaty , it's a solid kite
It's not terrible, but the 12m Switchblade is now like my 16m Crossbow was.

So..I think you are saying that high aspect kites are slow and have lots of bar pressure? If I wanted a kite that was faster than the core with lighter bar pressure - what kites would you recommend.
I agree with other poster Barry, you should really try the Eleveight RS if you have the chance. Light bar pressure and really floating jumps. the V2 2019 is maybe a tniy bit less high aspect but it really jumps very well with good hangtime.

Oh and on top of that; it goes upwind really well!

The Switchblade is my go to for best boosting without sacrificing bar pressure. The SB is mid range aspect, also has 5 struts. I haven't flown any Eleveight kites but if I were offered a demo I definitely wouldn't pass it up (per Bartolo and Barry suggestion). I sold my 11m SB on Craigslist but am eye balling the sales on the 2018s now.

Hi everyone. I was lucky enough to try a Core XR4. As promised this kite jumped like crazy but it felt so slow in the sky. I'm sure that I could adjust to the slowness but overall I don't think this kite is for me.
I have been looking to refresh my kites and had jumping/hangtime at the top of my list. Maybe I need to reconsider?
No, like a lot of kites you need to adjust the bridle settings, which offer options to speed up and slow the kite, it's not to do with wether the kite is or is not high aspect which an XR4 isn't especially. So in order to answer your question what size was the kite, what line length was it using and which bar. All make a difference to speed in the sky.

Hope this helps.

If boosting/hangtime plus quick response and light feel even in bigger sizes is what you are after, then get a Flite. My 12m is amazingly responsive and fast turning for its size.
Agree...love my Flites

A bus will never be a Ferrari - Don't ever think it will or you'll be pudding in the wind :cool2:

Like Sarc says - a longer bar helps speed it up a little due to leverage ratio..
It amazes me that people know to use a long bar for bigger kites to help turn speed - but go brain dead on how to speed up smaller bus turning kites...

Yes they do, all (bigger) high aspect kites turn slow...

But when done right, the high aspect ones can jump higher :thumb:

Bar pressure is a matter of design only so you can have light or heavy bar pressure, but you can never overcome the turning issue.

You can make a high AR kite turn on a dime, also a foil kite, but they will lose speed and power as this is done by "pivoting" the kite, meaning using one side of the kite as a "brake" to get it turned around in a tight curve, but slow thus not much power.

So things are balanced as always, ups and downs and you can not get both but have to choose or get something in between
