It is very entertaining to watch people argue the validity/wisdom of their personal decisions when they have very little of the concept of statistical distribution of possible future outcomes. In tend to agree with the statement, "We'll see." For a simple explanation, watch below.

Better to ask: where is Nak 😉
My guess, because he is from NZ and also those rocks on the beach look much like volcano rocks; He is living somewhere in Taranaki (='Nak?).
Bingo!

None. That's why I put "LOL". I'm one of the old people.

Guys! Great topic!
This brilliant vid from HB Surfkite sums up a lot for me (words by C. Bukowsky - so fitting :thumb: )

"If you´re doing it for money, or fame - don´t do it.
...
If you´re doing it because you want women in your bed - don´t do it.
...
When it is truly time, if you have been chosen, it will do it by itself. And then it will keep on doing it until you die, or it dies in you.
There is no other way. And there never was."

Its easy to comment on someone else's lifestyle. But without experiencing it, you'll never know. I struggle to evaluate my own lifestyle.

I quit everything and just travel and kite now. Its been 9 months. Its been awesome. But I'm not sure when I will get bored. I will. I'm sure. Just like a job. Then what? I have no idea..

A lot of people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch of unconnected incidents and things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything. Give you an example, show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, "plate," or "shrimp," or "plate of shrimp" out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconsciousness...of kite surfing.

There ain't no difference between a flying saucer and a time machine. People get so hung up on specifics they miss out on seeing the whole thing. Take South America for example. In South America, thousands of people go missing every year. Nobody knows where they go, they just, like, disappear. But if you think about it for a minute, you realize something. There had to be a time when there was no people, right? Well where did all these people come from, huh? I'll tell you where. The future. And where did all these people disappear to? The past? That's right! And how did they get there? Flying saucers. Which are really..? Yeah, you got it, time machines. I think a lot about this kind of stuff...and kite foil boarding too!
