Neil is a familar figure to many of us, being one of the three guys to successfully cross from Key West to Cuba
via kiteboard in horrific winds and seas, he has been a pro rider and reps for Slingshot in the SE USA and Caribbean
these days.

Neil has a new exciting concept coming online, "X-Rated Kiteboarding Tours!" X-Rated will provide all inclusive
group tours to high wind destinations with some notable pro riders tagging along on each trip. Neil was the one that
organized this kiteboarding demonstration.

Hamish is no stranger to competitions and extreme moves. Many of us may have noted him recently in photos
from the Islamorada Invitational tossing out handle passes with a kite leash.


Hamish shows us how it is done and leads the way into the future for competitive kiteboarders in kite leash use.

Pete is a low key guy but a strong kiteboarder coming into the group of top winners at the Islamorada competition
in each of the last two years.

Dimitri is an interesting guy, he is the Florida and Caribbean rep for Naish and Oakley, a long time tow-in surfer from
all over and a hot kiteboarder in his own right.

Tom is a bit newer to the sport but has advanced at lightspeed working with Paul Menta and these days with Chris Kjos
of kitesurfusa.com. I plan to be describing the moves that these guys pull off to the crowd from shoreside.

So, things are primed, the event is ON and the riders are fired up to blast off and as they say ... just add wind and

it never ceases to amaze me how big kiteboarding(surfing) has gotten in the States, (and everywhere else) I've only been away from L.A. for a little over a year now, and its just BLOWN UP!

I just added several more photos from last year's event. I have been thinking for years how great it would be to highlight kiteboarding at this event. Fingers crossed for good weather but in any case it should be a novel weekend by the beach. There were jets winding up overhead on manuvers this morning preparing for the show that kicks off tomorrow and goes through Sunday.

DAAAMN, sounds great! Wish I could be there too. Neil was telling us a bit about teh X-rated projects he has going on...can wait! Make sure to let us know how this event goes, especially in the kitesurfing area. Much appreciation!

For a high jumping kitesurfer low flying jet can be wery dangerous.

We had a dress rehearsal of sorts this morning. We showed up ... but the wind slept in, ouch! Scheduled events
can provoke Ma Nature to send the wind elsewhere in Florida sometimes. Fingers crossed and thinking positive
thoughts for the rest of the weekend.
