Re: C-loop length for full depower?

Thanks guys. I have been kiting for a long time, but I just decided to move to the bow kites finally. In terms of the amount of depower, if you can attach the C-loop to a dog stake screwed into the ground to launch, its basically full depower as far as I'm concerned. I was actualy looking at the sto...

I was so impressed with the Sonic after flying it a couple days ago, I bought one (11m). The only issue is, as you know, the cleat adjustment won't work with any load. I never once adjusted the depower on my C-kites so I don't really care, but does anyone find you need to adjust these kites more tha...

tweak I got your PM, and it does not kill all of the power but enough for the kite to fall out of the sky and sit in the relaunch position. I will try to get a video of it if "seeing is believing", but the kite performs the same action as what they show on the SAFE videos on the windwing website. I...

Xtream most of my set up has been well descriped on windwings forum under KPO with reverse relaunch: http://windwing.com/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=830&PN=1 Rear lines are on fixed pigtails, and KPO is a loose line from the static bridle attachment to the front flying line attachment. The pulley han...

How would it be riding a Bow kite with just a long chicken loop line, without a stopper ball. Does the bar continually want to be ripped out of your fingers, like it would with this setup on a C kite? Do you really need the stopper ball? I usually ride my Sonic 11 without the stopper in place. The ...

I have done this with my windwing RII's. The SAFE system is basically a bow bridal on a "bucket" or C shaped kite and you do get way more depower by using this system. I first tried to lengthen the SAFE bridle with the hopes to flag the kite by just letting go of the bar and having a really long ce...

Re: C-Kite with optional Bow bridles?

Why doesn't someone make a classic C-kite that also has attachment points for bow-style bridles and a bridle system that can be easily attached or removed? This kind of "convertible" kite would have the proven stability of the C-kites, and with bridles would have enough depower for beginners or wav...

It been interesting to see all of the comparisons of the Crossbow to the other brands. We can see how at first sight there can be a similarity to the Takoon Nova. The fact of the matter is that we were both introduced to the concept by Bruno Legaignoux who as you might know is the holder of the cla...
