Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

If there's room, run a rope slider on the spreader bar in addition to the normal spreader bar hook. This would allow using the fireball QR without the ball/stick part, just attach the Fireball to a ring on the slider rope or if you want to get fancy, dig out the metal piece from the ball/stick part...

Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

They kind of did. Under the NP brand, where all the accessories, harnesses etc. were. The center piece (hook, closed loop, swivel hook, fireball socket) is bolted with 3x M6 screws to the spreader bar. But 8 years ago it was't designed for a quick swap. The slider rope wasn't a thing back then, yet...

Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

I’m not quite ready to give up on having one spreader bar accommodate both a chicken loop and a fireball. Some ideas here give me a good start. At this point making the Stealth bar function as a 2in1 is not really an option by design. As you know the Fireball is proprietary to Cabrinha. Making it p...

Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

There was a kit to convert the fireball to a regular CL that's what I would do. Edit: There was a conversion kit to convert the Fireball attachment to a CL on their older bars (pre Modular). The poster will still require the Fireball spreader bar for flying their other kites with the Fireball syste...

Re: Chicken Loop & Fireball - Harness Modification

I love the Fireball but got a Flysurfer kite with a Chicken Loop bar. Decided to upgrade to a Mystic Harness, but want to keep using the Fireball with my other kites and don't want to carry 2 harnesses everywhere. I don't do crazy tricks, but like to jump in th 10 to 15' range. Your DIY looks super...

Re: airush foil skate

If $$$ is not a barrier, take a look at the F-One Magnet 149x45x2.3cm @ 10.8L volume. It's a thruster fin set-up. I agree the Super Natural could be a challenge for lighter wind conditions. Different fin sizes could have a positive effect. Setting it up as a twinfin would allow more surface area con...

Re: Protection against the sun

Check out the Airhole Drylite balaclava. I like that you can breathe. No mesh. It's thin, so you can combine it with a surf visor cap or helmet.
It's marketed towards snowsports, but it seems perfect for our needs. I have the fleece version.

Re: Nice helmet with space for a neoprene cup/hood

Take a look at the Gamebreaker customizable softshell helmets. The D3O is a big plus.
The helmets aren’t sexy, but they’re better than a hardshell imo. They could be exactly what you’re looking for. 👍
