Bar found in Canadian Hole

I have found LiquidForce bar in Canadian Hole by the road. I am in Hatteras until Friday, Oct. 17 and can be reached at 252-995-3667.

Or respond to this posting and describe the bar.

Cayo Santa Maria in December

I wonder if anyone has experience with Cuba Cayo Santa Maria in December. I am thinking about Melia Buenavista in particular. There isn't too many pictures with kiteboarders on Trip Advisor and in the existing ones it seems that the wind is off shore.

Crossbow vs Omega

Hi, I have the opportunity to replace my 15m Omega 2007 with 13m Crossbow 2011. I know Crossbow has very good low end and it is also newer kite but not sure if it has low end as 15m Omega (which is not so good anyway). Can any one of you pros give me a piece of advice? I would really appreciate it. ...

Cayo Coco in December

I am planning my trip to Cayo Coco in December and I am not sure if I will need another kite. I currently have 15m and 12m and I am fine up to some 25kts.

With the fact that weather is unpredictable could anyone let me know what kind of wind I can reasonably expect?

Thanks to all who answer.

Re: kite looping on deathride: I drowned, died and come back

I am really glad you made it and shared your story with us. I am sure this will help to save some lives! Wow, what a story. And I am even more happy, that I prefer to fly a big kite in lighter winds...I limit my risk a lot by doing this. My smallest kite is a 14 and I barely use it. For people who ...

How to keep my board

Hi,
I wonder if anybody can tell me the trick how to keep my board on my feet. I saw guys being dragged and as soon as the kite was up, they were up on their boards. I have only foot straps and every time I crash (not too hard of course) I loose my board.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Best light wind board for my situation?

I only started kiteboarding last year, but after I got the handle of it my main problem was a board that brings you up to plain but also can handle chop when the wind picks up. I found the solution in JL Flight Deck. I am 195lb and I LOVE the board.

My legs are too tired - am I doing something wrong?

I am 58 years old and I started kiteboarling last year. I picked it up quite nicely and went for a week in Hatteras in the fall. In there I got more wind that I am normally used to in Ontario and after couple of days my legs were KILLING me after only an hour on the water. I didn't feel overpowered ...
