Re: F-One Trax vs North Select vs Wainman Joke for soft land

The choice is obvious, get the Laluz....such a sick board...the only non Shinn board I would buy in a heartbeat! Oh and don't get hung up about the 2012 model..I guarantee its almost exactly the same as the 2011. I second this comment. Most shops would rather sell a new model year board but now is ...

Re: Best TS 15m VS Taboo 15m

Anyone tried the 15 TS ? How is it as opposed to last year 15m Taboo ? I am building my new quiver and I have the 8m and 10m TS. I will probably order the new 15m TS but I would like to know if it is really more powerful than the taboo 15 ? The Taboo and TS 15 are VERY similar, especially consideri...

Re: New Best TS 2012

If you test the TS with the Best bar be sure to try the kite with and without line extensions. Personally, I really preferred all the TS I tested on 23m lines or another brand bar with 23m lines. I tested the 15m,12m and 9m over a three day period. On 23m lines the 12 & 9m reminded me a lot of the R...

Re: Laluz or Misfit, which is better?

Everyone mentions how lightweight the Laluz is. When you are in the air it's immediately obvious this is one featherweight board. So I was curious what the weight difference is between the two boards. Slingshot did some innovative things this year to knock a half pound off the Misfit but look what w...

Re: which freeride board for soft landings / weak knees?

Just received this comment from a recent Xenon Laluz convert:
By the way, the Xenon board you sold me is great! Soft landings just as described, my sessions have doubled in length because my legs aren't taking such a beating.

Re: 2011 Xenon Laluz 135

Just curious, I keep always hearing about the 135, how does the Laluz 132 behave in chops? Still good pop with smooth ride/landings?
Yes!!! :o

Re: 2011 Xenon Laluz 135

I have a 127 Rogue Wave Custom which is a very nice board. The Rogue has a looser feel, or least mine does. Lee can adjust that characteristic somewhat when he builds. I would describe the Rogue as more skatey. The Laluz is more precise feeling and seems to rail upwind better, without being catchy. ...

Re: 2011 Xenon Laluz 135

Here's a few images that show the edge profile. Let me know if you need some type of measurement. Edge reminds me of some Crazyfly boards. Note: fins are 2010 model on one of our demo boards.

Re: 2011 Xenon Laluz 135

Xenon is very new in the USA and feedback so far is spot on with what you are reading. I think I mentioned this elsewhere but it says a lot. We had one of our shop riders, who was also supported by a major kite brand, cough up some of his own $ to ride a Laluz instead of his free board for all the s...

Re: Best lightwind kite - Infinity, Zephyr or Turbine?

Lately we have been grabbing the Taboo 15m. We flew the Zephyr a fair amount last season and liked it but it really did feel like a big kite and was little much for us since we are lighter weight riders. The 15m Taboo is obviously smaller by 2 meters than the Zephyr, but it seems to be doing the job...
