Re: Best gopro mount for kiting

Kitehero fin mount is probably the most robust mounting option. No way that's coming off! http://www.atbshop.co.uk/images/uploads/kitehero_finbox_mount_details_i.jpg The wrist mount fits on the struts of my Naish kites, but best to check beforehand whether it fits yours. They can always be extended ...

Re: NHP versus T5

NHP is a completely different ride to T5. Lovely board (though mine is a 2010), but not a baord I would class as a "light wind", board. Depends what your weight is I guess. Have you looked a the Nobile XTR? Light wind specific but apparently still fun. I bought one but not had chance to use it yet :...

Re: Only 2 Kiters

I've seen on a few occasions where the launched kiter will try launch the other whilst his kite is in the air.

Once, the guys it perfectly and it looked safe enough. The other two times it looked like an accident waiting to happen.

Re: Should I Change my Nobile 555 for a shinn Gintronic / Mo

I went from a T5/555 to an NHP fairly quickly as a novice. I lost my T5 and the Nobile rep gave me a deal on the 2010 NHP. Difference is night and day! Feels quite 'skatey', after the T5 but took one session to get dialled in and I absolutely love it! In the very choppy Cape Town spots, it excelled ...

Re: Kite Compression

Yeah, I often wondered what the point was of a "deflate", valve on most kite pumps. The bags I have are specifically designed to use most housegold vacuum cleaners and work very well. I'll definately try it next time I travel. I'll still use a "golf", bag, but with compression it might be the only l...

Re: Kite Compression

Hmmm...I can see that being a problem for sure. Certainly wouldn't be something I'd want to do on a regular basis, but perhaps you'd get away with it for occasional o/s travels.

Kite Compression

Having just moved overseas from Cape Town to Sydney, we bought and used quite a few of those clever vacuum compression bags from a hardware store- you know the ones where you pack the bags with clothes, seal with a zip-loc type fastening, then such the air out with your normal household vacuum clean...

Re: Washing Kite after use

Yeah, I believe you should only rinse with fresh water if you can allow it to air-dry completely!

Don't really think it's worth the hassle otherwise....
