Re: Strapless board for a big guy

For those that are interested, some great info on breaking down surfboard performance. http://www.firewiresurfboards.com/the-wire/sci-fi-enters-cfd-scientific-dissection-surfboard-performance/. While initially intended for surfing, the MPH designs are uniquely suited for kitesurfing with big benefit...

Re: strapless aerial

There will always be a battle of strength vs weight and if you want your ride to last you have to find that sweet spot. The FireWire Tomo kite models are made with that in mind, durability and modest weight for high performance that will last. In terms of bottom designs, channels, contours, etc. do ...

Re: Frustrations with Firewire's UK/ EU distributor

@SuperMorriso, pm me and we will follow up on your issue with delivery. If your given a date for delivery that date should be met or at least some valid reason why it wasn't and expectations reset. On the other side, I can tell you that extremely high global demand for the new Kelly Slater line (on ...

Re: Surfing wind swells, what board?

Number of the guys up in the hood are really liking the vader/vanguards. Smaller outline and sizes fit in the trough's better.

Haydn/Sebastian show how the boards support airs as well too.

Re: Standard category name for Firewire Vanguard-style board

They are cropped surfboards. Its a fad that has developed into a terrible trend. Everyone is making their crap version of it. Its even in windsurfing now. Hopefully it goes away when people get sick of the nose or corner of the board sticking the wave when going across the wave or down the wave or ...

Re: Why do Firewire Tomo shapes work so well?

Your nuts if you think a knock off is going to feel like the Tomo shaped boards. Do yourself a favor and at least test ride one for comparison. Best surfers in the world riding and providing feedback on these boards. Don't think your going to find that with the knock offs so why bother? Unless you j...

Why do Firewire Tomo shapes work so well?

Ran across this one today. One of the biggest things that may not be well known is just how good of a surfer Daniel Thomson (TOMO) is. That translates to no misinterpretation from rider to shaper and another reason why Tomo's boards work so well. Been riding the Vader for a while now, by far best bo...

Re: Slingshot Angry Swallow

Save some money and get the original highest performing board in this class, Firewire Vanguard or Vader. Hands down outperforms the others. Yes, tried them all and doubt you'll find anyone out there who has done the same and doesn't agree.

Re: Standard category name for Firewire Vanguard-style board

How about just focusing on the pad/shape. For example, the same pad would probably work on any of the shorter compact designs like a firewire sweet potato, north nugget, slingshot ankle biter as well as the modern planning hull type shape like vanguard/vader. Compact designed boards, that work?
