hey thanks kenny!

what's the deal with kiting on powder mountain? ok with management or bandit-style? do you need a sled to get the goods up there?

good lift powder and kiting all in one spot would be flawless. (although probably not this winter i've booked out my vacation already :( ..)

how about for a short-term forecast? what if you were staying in SLC and wanted to wake up, check the forecast, drive to kiting if it was promising and drive to resorts if it was dicey do you locals have that placed dialed in or do you still end up driving and getting skunked (or staying home and mi...

thanks guys!

los barilles/east cape area sounds good. la ventana gets really old really fast if you hit a windless strech. plus i like looking at the fishies almost as much as kiting.

los barilles/la ribera wind?

I am wondering if the winter time wind in the East Cape/Los Barilles area is of the afternoon variety like La Ventana of if it is more of an all day thing. I've only seen morning wind 1 or 2 times in La Ventana so I know it can happen, but mostly that place is nice for non-kiters in that they can ch...

if you have a SLE kite where the front lines attach to pulleys and you kite in the salt and the sand.... it is nice to rinse out the pulleys with fresh water and check them when you're rinsing your gear. but you don't need to rinse the kite. so -- leave the pulleys on the bar and you can check/rinse...

can you get the same % off msrp for a new car as you can for new (non-best) kite? say a new car has an msrp of $30,000. do you have a snow-ball's change in hell of getting it off the lot for $20,000? (or less?!) but a new kite package that has an msrp of $3,000 - yes you might get it for $1,800 or s...

a car is almsot always a complicated purchase. many, many options to affect the car value. also there is often a trade in. and then financing to haggle over.

a kite is more like buying a stereo. do people really haggle down the guys at radio shack/sam goody's by 20-40% ?

there was a post on here a few years ago. the guy got nailed after a rigging mistake. if you read his post carefully he said (paraphrasing) "my kites all have kook proof connectors but i was rigging a loaner kite without them and made a mistake.". one of these days you will forget a bar or break a l...

anyone who has studied the evolution of business supply chains over the last 20 years will tell you that by and large it is not "may (or may not) save you money". It is "will save you money". There is a reason why all of us are typing on computers bought on-line from Dell and not from a manufacturer...
