Re: Caution 09

The bridle should be similar to the last model with the exception of the back lines. They will now be similar to the Zombie. Will it affect the direct feel on the kite? I doubt it as the Zombie feels very direct.

Re: Torch 09 quiver

Well the problem of lack of wind in Darwin isn't going to go away but I would tend to agree with JGTR, if you can just keep the 16m and go with the 9 & 12m option. Those who have flown the new Torch here are very happy with some nice improvement on previous models without taking away the Torch feel....

Re: Caution 09

Another run on the 9m today. I was in a hurry so sorry I didn't get to try any other settings. 26-32knots. I think stability wont be a problem on this kite Cortex as it was the first thing riders praised on the kite when they came in. As RP said it doesn't seem to have a backstall tendancy when over...

Re: Caution 09

OK, I had a quick fly on the 9m on Sunday. Didn't try anything other than factory settings on the kite. Bar pressure is about the same as tha Mayhem so learning as a lightweight shouldn't be a problem. Steering is very direct and I fealt the kite is more precise. It produces very consistant power th...

Re: Caution 09

Sorry, only pumped the 9m at this stage, the 12m hasn't come out of the bag. The 9m was about 5'3" tall when pumped. http://www.briskites.com.au/images/products/detail_182_Zombie_Caution.jpg It's AR is a fair bit lower than the Mayhem so I would say it offers a bit more park and ride grunt. We shoul...

Some details and pics of the new Zombie here-

New leading edge construction looks tough as.
We had a quick fly on the beach in light winds so can't say much about it's performance except that the 9m turns quick.

Re: Improving Upwind Ability of Bridled Kite

Does anybody know how to improve the upwind ability of a bridled 4 line kite?

1. Put a better rider on it
2. A flatter board with a square outline.

Sounds like you just need more practice, get back out there :thumb:

Re: Retro Fit Smartloop

Yes I know, that's why I'm asking if he has a Helix as the Cult and Code don't.

Re: Retro Fit Smartloop

Not sure what would be causing this. I didn't even have a swivel and had no problem.
If you have a swivel does that mean you have a Helix or is it a non Naish kite and bar?
