Hey Andy!

Thanks mate. Yeah I was thinking of using candle wax to do the same job, that way I can always take it out again if I change my mind or come to sell it. Plus I have candles :P

Think I'll lose/gain any performance with less finnage?

Removing fins from a Litewave

Hey guys,

I'm getting a '03 LW 158 as my lightwind board, and was thinking of removing the 2 extra healside fins. I'm used to a '02 LW 148, and love that skatey feel, and want the same on the bigger one.

Anyone tried this?

I'd expect a loop of line to grip the shackle too. Surely a wide diameter stainless steel ring is a better option?

If on the other hand you feel your are experienced enough and willing to give advice to those who want it, fly a green ribbon. Not so sure about thi...

Thanks for the pictures guys, but I'm still confused how this system works. It looks like the release is on the other side of the bar from the rider, so when you pull the release one of the front lines can slide up the other one. But what happens to the bar and back lines? How can they slide up past...

I expect these really short boards are just a fad. Most of us aren't blessed with flat water and smooth wind, so best length for the majority will remain in the 135-155 range, imho.
