Re: Theft Story? Tell Yours

Never had anything stolen, but have had my board returned to me several times :D Where do people leave their keys? I am not all that happy leaving it in the bag, but not exactly a given that you won't lose them out on the water either. So lesser evil for me leaving them on the beach. Good point... ...

Re: Theft Story? Tell Yours

I live an hour inland from the sea and used to drive a distinctive pick up. Must have been followed home after a session one day, as that night my garage was robbed. They took 3 boards, 4 kites, 2 bars, wetsuits, spare lines and fins and even wax, but left all the tools, bikes, garden tools etc So ...

Re: Kiting alone

From personal experience: know the local area well, currents, tides, obstacles, weather conditions / tendencies, etc. I think solo kiting issues happen when people arent familiar with localities. If you are more of a beginner, I'd limit it to staying close to shore or an area with shallow water wher...

Theft Story? Tell Yours

Just curious if people get stuff stolen at their local launches or when travelling to spots. Would be interested which launches have the most things disappear. Personally, Ive never had anything stolen but really curious if I should really ever worry about my extra kites and boards chilling on the b...

Re: Windy holiday destinations by month - summary

I would also include South of Brazil - November to March - Specially for kitewave, but also freestyle in flatwater lagoons. Florianopolis, Ibiraquera, Farol de Santa Marta, Praia Brava... countless beach breaks, and really, really gorgeous girls 8) Going further south almost the entire the coast of...

Re: Heading to Shacks Beach Puerto Rico next week

Nice spot... Great info, thank you. I land at 2p, I'm thinking I might head straight to Ocean Park with my rental. My only concern is that I'll have a decent amount of valuable electronics when coming directly off the flight. From your experience, has Ocean Park been a safe place? I also don't spea...

Re: Heading to Shacks Beach Puerto Rico next week

Nice spot... Works best with NE or ENE trade winds. E will be marginal. Yes, beware of reef. If for some reason the wind in the North isnt working out for you, the South in Parguera or Guyama is nice. Mostly flat water and some fun waves to jump off on the outside. Enjoy! You can also try Ocean Park...

Hello Maui Friends and Aloha... haven't been on here in a while. Going to Maui for the first time next week. Staying near the airport area and renting a truck. Advanced twin tip /Mako wave rider looking for tips on where to go on both the ENE wind and S wind. Specifically looking for places that hav...
