Re: Sabfoil recommendation

I think he should aim for something around 1000 cm2 and higher AR than the 5.9 for the 1280 F-One. Both Sabfoil and Gong list the volume apart from area and span (=AR) so easier to compare foil "lift/size" this way. F-One does not, so one have to ride an F-One neck and neck towards the others, to ge...

Sub categories aren’t a good solution. Kiteforum had so many different sub forums, the more the less attention they get.

less is more 😉

Re: Video section (and other sections)

Not for me, sorry, I like when a video is posted in the relevant section. Hardly any videos are focused on different sections at the same time - those few that are, usually kite and wingfoil where most probably read both sections. I dont care whether the title says video or not - but I dont like to ...

Video section (and other sections)

Hi Toby, and everyone :D I have noticed there are a huge number of "kite or wingfoil" only related topics in the Kitesurfing forum, staying there forever, while when anyone post a video in any specific forum, it is moved to the "Video" section extremely fast? Or are they automatically moved maybe - ...

Re: Foil quick mount

Oh, now I understand, thanks.

Have never seen open ended base plates though, at least not with carbon.

Re: Foil quick mount

Locking T-nuts. https://i.postimg.cc/CxLnHwhL/descarga.jpg These only work if your base plate has holes not slots, as two of them need to be free to slide. Foam in the base of the tracks is easier and cheaper. ??? I don't understand this... Why should two of them be free to slide? 8) Peter

Re: The future of foiling

I think most of us are surfers AND wind (any kind) surfers too as different sports both awesome and one without the other would be a loss. Did I get it right you distinguish between foildrive and efoil? Because of the drag difference? Might be confusing for many as this thread seems to be about both...

Re: The future of foiling

You look like a robot Joking apart, it seems to be fun. I wouldn‘t mind trying it, but for the moment, I can only think that is something special about just using the wind. Perhaps prejudice. No prejudice there, using the wind means everything in my experience. But as said, a few like to ride a mot...

True maybe but only 0.1 to 1 % has a 3D printer.

Re: Foil quick mount

Amazing bragnouff, less than one minute - I rest my case then and it must be a (big) mental thing solely :D

Now I wonder why most others use such long time for mounting their foil - maybe they also take the mast and flyer apart?
But it should be quite fast, as only 1 or 2 screws.
