Re: The future of foiling

So cool to see the efoil setups making no wind days fun again. The $ spent on efoiling is great value for me compared to all the kites I have. Flat water cruising is not boring for me yet. When I started kiting after windsurfing I never went back. Lets see how efoiling plays out for us ;)

I agree with knowone that its like riding a snowboard in powder very carvy and smooth. Very addictive once you feel. Knowone you make some nice carves man. What wing are you running?

Re: The future of foiling

I am full into efoiling now too. Anytime anywhere is such a change from always waiting for wind and the frustration. Mind you I windsurfed from 1982 to 2000 and then kited from then till now so its kinda time for a change for me. I still never get tired of good jumping days on a TT though

Re: How many sessions to replace a kite

Its not so much the sessions but how long it is in the sun. Flapping on the beach in the tropics will trash it fast. Pump it ride it pack it.

Re: Kiteboarding RIP ?

Despite the legal status they are being used in public right in front of coastguard boats who seem to turn a blind eye. The rules are being changed to allow certain shrowded props or jet type drives soon along with safety leash power cut.

Re: Kiteboarding RIP ?

Windurfing then kitesurfing are not rip for sure . Winging growing for sure. But efoiling will outpace this. Its just more user friendly and no worry about the fucking wind not being any good. The windsport companies will need to adapt... Lets see how it goes.

Re: Kiteboarding RIP ?

If the wind was like Brasil I probably would not consider efoil. I live on the water and can launch a kite right here so if its good wind then good to go. I was curious about the efoil and its for now anyway more fun than I thought. I had not foiled before so quite a novel feeling. Not sure whats go...
