I don't know other bars but on my contact bar it requires some force but like anybody should be able to handle. For certain a fit guy. I pull it free from the clam cleat, trim it and then back in.
I usually have a shorter walk but manage by putting most stuff in a large shopper bag.
1 kite with bar and pump on my back, neoprene and harnass in the shopper bag on the ground, board on top of that, second kite on top of that and lift everything.
So I went to my local shop but new stitching would be more then they indicated, 65 euro. And they found another worn spot on my LE Dacron and advised to stitch a reinforcement on that also for another 65 euro. I decide that 130 euro is to much for an old kite that probably needs another repair next ...
