Techniques for rescuing runaway hydrofoil and bringing it to the beach?

Hi all, I don't think the techniques of saving somebody's hydrofoil, while yourself being on a hydrofoil, was discussed at any recent time. Can you share your techniques on this thread please? Last week a foiler had chicken loop break and was trying to deal with his kite, while his foil floated away...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

on locations with light wind conditions, I would guess it may be reaching 90%.. I can tell you on my beach we are at 95% now.. And nobody wants to wait for wind with a twintip anymore. Re: Moses T38 board

Two of my buddies on the beach now have the board. I held it and looked at it last weekend. Both like how it rides.. and it looks like a piece of art.. gorgeous board. But, both already complain how fragile it is.. Dings already on both boards from must hitting it with a bar in the water. Second one...

Re: Riding powered: Seat vs Waist Harness

I bought ION seat harness and also bought ION rope spreader bar. I rode it for a few months, but kept wondering why my back still hurts after ridding a seat harness. I started paying attention to pressure points and realized that the top back seam of the harness was really pressuring my back.. there...

Re: New idea for pumping foils - beaver tail.

An update.. Apparently Grant Harmon is the guy who invented it.
My friend in HK did try his version and said it works! But he needs to find a better fin as this one was twisted he said.

Here is a link to original inventor:

New idea for pumping foils - beaver tail.

Hi all , I just saw this being “invented” in Hong Kong. Looks like an interesting idea to me. I have not seen any videos of this in the water yet. But any reason this would NOT work? Did anybody try this before? Maybe not this exact implementation, but the idea. Flexible fin as a stab to create forw...
