Re: quad vs two fins?

the small cut out at the base of my tracker kind of reminds one of the fin experiments for windsurfing of the 70' and 80'. is that it? i strongly belive that to reduce the drag created by tracker fins you need to let them point inwards close to the board but they need to be parallel further down. i ...

Re: F1 Diablo Camber adjustment

the diablo line engages when the kite is pretty powered already on the joker6. maybe when the line kicks in on neutral it is too radical. let me know what setting works best for you.

Re: F1 Diablo Camber adjustment

i asked the friend i got the j6 9 from and he did a backstall landing, no problem. but he will watch it further. i plan to trim Z longer than it is now as soon i have the diabolo line installed. the main problem with Z too long is backstall, so with this problem lessened you can go for longer Zs to ...

Re: F1 Diablo Camber adjustment

i've test flown a joker6 9 last week. great kite, by the way, and it features the Z-modification like joriws skeched in this post: http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=906774#p906774 i will definitely test this mod with my joker5 11 and see what changes. it is very easy to build, one pulley and ...

Re: Liquid Force Elite foil

i doubt that the bridle shown in the sketch represents the real bridle setup?!?! however, the things i noticed from the data is, that the 15 has 10 cells less than the joker6, the ar is even a wee bit more and it is lighter. i assume that the reduced cell count (compared to the joker6) leads to less...

Re: Tuning kite to correct flying issues

@davesails7: checking the symmetry of the bridle is also rather easy. just tie the four attatchment points where flying lines are attatched to the mixer together with a line and tie them to some fixed object. then walk to the canopy and grab one attatchmentpoint wher the bridle meets the canopy and ...

Re: Tuning kite to correct flying issues

@davesails7: i agree that before changing the bridle/mixer to correct behaviour, it is a good idea to check for asymmetry in flyinglines, mixer, bridles and canopy first. one more thing: if they pull to one side when fully depowered, you need to change B instead of C. tip collapses are most likely d...

Re: ELF Product Support Questions

@Mossy 757: you are very welcome!

@foilholio: yeah, it is the same line. maybe even the dc200. anyhow, it doesn't last too long.
