Re: Knot in my lines

Before tapping or chewing I soak it in some cooking oil which seems to help a lot. Pick something good tasting like olive oil if you are going to lightly chew on it.

Re: Cabrinha Drifter 2016 vs 2018

I have a friend who lives here and has my same physical conditions but is already an experienced kiter and he moved from 8-11 SW to 9-11 Drifter. Yesterday he told me he hasn't even used the 11 mts once since he got it so it's a nice thing to know and matches to what you are saying too If you do th...

Re: Cabrinha Drifter 2016 vs 2018

You need to remember that people give advice based on what the conditions are where they ride, the style of riding they do, their size and weight, and the equipment they are familiar with. So take these recommendations with a grain of salt because they come from this lens. It is hard to make the cor...

Re: Kitbeorder meets Needlefish

Its rare but not not unheard of. I know of two other people in OBX where that has happened and i have had plenty of close calls. My friend thought he had been shot it hurt so bad. The vibration from the board must spook them and cause them to jump when approached.. The bad thing is they jump calf hi...

Re: Hatteras - new bridge - still can kite in the inside?

I have not seen anything yet saying that kiting inside will be banned. I would not be surprised if it was, but who would have jurisdiction and enforce it? It is not park land. On the average it is about 1200 ft to the bridge from the shore at about 20 ft high. My guess (if allowed) it would be still...

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge ... this one sucks.

So let me understand this. You came up with a solution that none of NCDOT engineers could think of, none of the environmental lawyers had an issue with, none of the land owners who would have their house destroyed would balk at, none of the lawyers of the eminent domain would have a problem with,......

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge ... this one sucks.

don’t think anyone is advocating against raised highway. It’s just didn’t really need to go through an excellent spot over water and could have stretched over lan So instead of ruining a couple people losing their soundside views you would prefer many more people woould have a bridge in their front...

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge ... this one sucks.

Any of one still think this bridge is a bad idea? Lets see. 10s of people who built an investment property in a flood zone will have their soundside view diminished versus 10 of thousands of people stranded or denied access to OBX. Yes it is a temporary solution. The OBX has probably 30 years max un...

Re: Sometimes straps are the right choice

Maybe it is just me, but I think the title of the thread should be "Sometimes straps are the wrong choice". In general all the strapless riders look so much better than the strapped riders. I think straps are a disadvantage not an advantage. The strapless hits are much harder, fuller, and the riding...
