Gene - Howard Johnson ran around 35 a night when I was there that time of year. You could probably pay as little as 20 a night of you go to the Econo lodge. Should be plenty of availability that time, just show up no need for reservations. Be warned though you can get the mega skunkage in the fall, ...

250m 51.3 knots! Damn it looks like 50 knots is pretty much broken, just need conditions to setup for 500m with WSSRC there.

I tried both kites, and reviewed them. I rode the Helix quite a bit:

Helix 9m
phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2341274

Cult 9m
phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2342664

In my short test of the Cult, I liked it better than the Helix.

Gene was throwing some huge loops on the 8m Havoc the other day. Watching it the kite loops like a C kite, very powered wide radius with lots of sideways.

You naturally alternate what side of the kite you rig the safety line to each time you rig the kite (since theres no difference between left and right.) Also the line is 800 lb test, so its probably a bit beefier than your 5th line. If it does stretch you can adjust the length by putting a knot in t...

Re: TOO Much Wind ...

The wind is getting stronger fast, you suddenly have too big a flat kite* up, you're standing onshore there is no one downwind of you. You are holding your bar all the way out but the power isn't dropping off enough. You are afraid things are going to bust loose with you getting dragged, maybe even...

Dax -- thanks for the review. Please don't take this the wrong way but can you let us know if you have any connection to Naish (shareholder, importer, distributor, retailer, team rider etc etc.) or, indeed, any other company that competes with Naish. I think this should be an important part of any ...

DAX , That pic of Bert is sick.. So is he going to land hard as shit or what? Kiteloops are fun, but that looks like it was only fun for the first part , and the landing is going to suck. Anyone got any vids of Bert? Not sure if he landed that one, but he did a bunch of them on that day that all lo...

I was commenting to a friend the other day how much all of the waroos flap and then I hear this "con: wing tips flapping" after getting my 9m cult Friday. alot of people dont know how to fly the waroo. Its pretty funny when i go to the beach and see an inproperly tuned waroo, and then...

Guys like to talk about getting higher than the kite but even with pros I have only seen it a few times. If you watch Ruben's vids he only gets actually higher than the kite maybe 20-30% of the time, the rest of the time he's even with the kite. Both blow my mind, but is getting above the kite a req...
