20 and 14 is a a good combo, of course 20-16 is perfect but then 16 -9.5 is very wide gap. The R4 14 is a very balanced kite, it works well at the lower end too, 14 kTs is enough for having fun. The Fuel is a nice kite to but is a different concept than the other two kite you already have.

I have released the kite many times. When things seems wrong, just release it!. This is a very important aspect of using a kite leash, you could effectively depower the kite without loosing it. If you don't use kite leash, releasing your kite is usually not an option until things go real bad.

I asked the same question some time ago. Use the search function.
Being dragged on land is normal in powered conditions, the kite style has a lot to do with how much it pulls at the edge of the window. It is not as easy holding your ground with a R2 than an Airblast.

Where is the poll? Leashes and QRs must be mandatory for everybody. Using a helmet or impact vest is up to you unless in kite schools and rentals. It's unbeliveable that magazines shows unleashed riders. Accidents are getting people out of this sport. It is time for a World wide campaign on this mat...

Yes, it is too small in most conditions. If you have 12 mts weather everyday, it could be ok as an one board quiver. A friend of mine asked Vari about board sizes few days ago. His advise was not going too small, being 125 the sweet spot for a light rider. Go wide for light wind and narrow for high ...

Usually is a compromise of being parallel between the LE and your shoulders. Going in a straight line, the bar is pretty parallel with the LE, of course it is not when doing kite manouvers.

I went with my wife and our 6 month baby on june. We stayed at Villa Taina. The place is very convenient, you could kite at the left side of the bay, short walk distance from the hotel. We are lucky to find a good baby siter for some hours after lunch (your wife will be glad). The place is very hot....

I had a R2 18 and now I have a R4 20. I haven't flyied the R4 18. The 20 is nice, very good power (not much more than the R2 18). The only problem with my kite (perhaps it doesn't happend to others) is that is unpredictable in low winds, it flies backward even with no backline pressure. It seems to ...

Topic: Flip tips hurt upwind performance?

Several factors, as Franks said, contributes to upwind performance. If you have two boards of equal lengh, rocker, fin shape & placement, rail shape and ouline (etc..), one with flips and other without them, this one (without flips) has longer rail line to work upwind, it will track better and it wi...
