I'm sorry to hear about that experience but I've been there with the open zipper many times in the past. Make it a habit to never pack it down with the zipper open. Also make sure you get it dry. Ironically you can do that by flying with the zipper open 😂 Quick tip: NEVER drag your kite by the front...
