Re: Global winds...getting less?

Jumarcil. As I've not looked at this subject for a number of years it does looks as if I've been duped about the Volcanic Co2 emmissions!!!!! I've just researched some very trusted sources and you are right. there is a persistant myth that Volcanic activity spews our more Co2 than human emmision and...

Re: Global winds...getting less?

Firstly I fully agree that we need to limit our impact on the planet and use renewable engery or clean energy if we can where we can. We also need to reduce all other pollutens that we put back into the earth and our oceans. Plastic to be one of the worst. Secondly a century is not a long enough tim...

Re: Global winds...getting less?

Lets stop bashing each others countries. Believe what you want and talk about kiting :thumb: As an observation the wind in the UK has been pretty strong all winter. We have also had the warmest year since records began. That's only a couple of hunderd years so no really measure at all. But the press...

Re: Global winds...getting less?

The Globe is actually in one of its cooler periods as we are only just really coming out of the last Ice age. This is the first time in the history of earth that we have had two polar ice caps at the same time. I agree we should not be contributing to green house gases. But please can we stop the gl...

Cape Town in May?

The wife is working in Cape Town towards the end of May. We are going to tag on a family holiday.

Do you have a suggestions on where to aim in regards to kite surfing? Flat water and or small waves :)

Re: Starkites Taina review..

On asking it was for weight reduction.

The new 2015 are all on large deflate/ inflate valve kites as show in the review above. Not sure if thats for the 17 as well though.

I would email them direct and ask :thumb:

Re: Starkites Taina review..

Hi Amnonshlomo I had a go on the 2014 17 metre in the Summer. It was a lovely kite. I only had one short session before work on it but it's firmly on my 2015 list of kites to buy. I was shocked at how well it flew in a light wind. But I reckon you would be shocked at most of the light wind kites the...

Re: Starkites Taina review..

Excellent and honest review. We need more of this type on the forum of all brands. Good to see a smaller brand making some waves :thumb:

Re: Foil Kites Banned for Racing in 2015?

Where's Pump me up on this thread? This is plain stupid. foils have been in use for years now with out this being brought up as a safety issue. It sounds like those companies not producing foils have had a word in someones ear. Surely carrying a flare or brightly coloured clothing would be far faire...

Re: KOTA top 10

Super, recently you have been posting like your old self. which was enlightend and interesting. you're in danger of slipping back to the dark times when all you did was try and get a rise out of someone. Personally I like the old Super.
