5th Element on older kites

Postby Hernan » Thu Dec 02, 2004 12:22 pm

I've tried a R04 with a 5th element-like bar and I didn't like it at all. The front lines rigged as an "Y" locks the kite too much. It does not turn well. Line lenghs were right (after some testing).
The 5th line worked as expected, no problems here.

So don't jump on a 5th element bar before trying one on your especific kite.

You most probably need some tuning and/or the 2005 method with extended front pigtails.

Except for the 2005 method, try extending the small 5th line. 10-20cm longer or shorter makes quit some difference
