This is what I posted to earlier to Naish Shop in Hawaii, but I don't think they will fwd the message to the manufacturer.

Can anyone help here with an advice, eventually how to contact Nasih manufacturer? Thanks/jet

Hello,
I just bought a Boxer SLE 2007. The problem is I bought it in France and I am living in Belgium... no Naish vendor in Brussels/Belgium wanted to help me.

The kite is brand new, yesterday I wanted to try it for the first time - but... the rear lines are way too long - we could not launch it (5 different guys tried). 16knt wind, in the 2:1 setup.

Then:
- I took the lines off, the front and the back (20m), and they are equal.
- I measured the line extensions at the bar/pullies (the ones that allow 2:1 or 1:1 setup). They are about 1m60 or 64inches long.

Given the lines front/rear are equal, the problem is either with the extension cords or with the briddle. Would you mind confirm if the extension cords seem of a correct length and how/where to get the right size briddle for a boxer '07.

I am not sure if I will have any luck at all by contacting you, I did not find any contact page for naishkite.com - would you mind to forward this message to them.

Being biten now by this problem, I would love to see a worldwide waranty program for Naish products, the same way Dell or HP or IBM offer - no matter where the product is bought. Especially with kitesurfing, people travel - you can't expect them to return for a replacement under warranty, at the place where they bought the product.

Many thanks for any help.

you have 3 knots in the extension lines and more 3 in the pigtais on the top of the bar.
Did you tried diferent knots combinations to try to reduce the long lenght of the rear lines?
in the bar put the loop into the 1st knot pigtail counting from the top.
if you use 1:1 system put the loop in the 1st knot counting from the top.

If none of this will help you, take off the 20m rear lines from the extensions, and make a knot at the desired mesure in the top of the line extension and them loop with a larks knot your back lines. This can resolve your problem.

...but if the lines are approximately the same lengths, then it might be a bridle thingy..if it has the wrong bridle, then the kite will not fly right (I think). Did you say the kite didn't even take off? How much too long do you estimate the backlines are? The kite doesn't react at all?

I don't know, but how much wind was it when you tried the kite? I'm sure someone with more knowledge on what can be wrong reads this and can give you better help...there are guys on here that has to do with shops...

A.

Hey. Pretty piss poor by the Naish Belgium muppets. email these guys if you get no joy.
sarina@naishsales.com (sales) or damien@naishsales.com (r&d) to get your answers. What size kite was it as i'v ehad the 07 6m Boxer up in 8-10 knts and it flew fine (obviously sheeted fully open).

The problem is probably with the bridle. Few months back i was helping a guy with a new 12m boxer. Kite just couldn't get any power into it.

The problem with his was with the length of the section of bridle that connects the front attachment through the pully to the rear line attachments. It was to long so you couldn't get the rear lines taught.

Send it back.

First - Many Thanks for the replies.

Here some of the details:
- the wind was about 16-18 knots, it was no problem with it. (I ended up kiting with my old Aero2 16m).
- its a boxer SLE'07 12 m we are talking about
- on the beach yesterday, I thought it was about 80cm-1m that the rear lines were too long. So, not something I can fix with a knot in the lines.
- today I connected the lines to the bar again and hooked them to a nail in a wall. With the bar shocked (max power) and with the blue power "T" (max power again) the end of the lines come to the same level (i.e. the pre-lines are OK)
-I called the shop who sold me the kite - the guy measured the pre-lines on his boxer 12m, the same length as mines = 165cm (so it confirmed the previous).
- Measuring the briddle is a bit tricky as I have to go in a park or to a beach again, I don't have enough space in my garden

The conclusion - it must be the wrong briddle. Again - thanks for the email addresses.
