noob here

Postby pooly » Sun Dec 09, 2007 8:17 pm

Got myself a 16 meter kite off ebay and a board for 100 euros with bar aswell :D ..
Someone said that i might need a harness ??? but i was thinkin ov just using some blue rope to hold it on me tied around my waist to the loop at the end ov the rope hanging down from the bar...
Im going down to my beach tomorrow as its only 10 mins away. Weather says its going to be around 27 mph so that should be enuf to pull me i think.
Now what do i need to do to get me going ?
One ov my mates said that u need to let the kite spin all the way round in a loop type motion and this will pull me enuf to stand up on the board. Is this rite ??
The board is 185 long and it looks like it will float anyhow.... Im so excited im giddy

Don´t!

Trying to kite without a proper knowledge about the dangers and without an appropriate equipment can easily get You killed.
