What's going on with Bill's designs, new kites, etc?
I don't want a re-hash of the past events, I can use the search button, I can't get into the Eclipse forum, just curious what's up with 2010 kites....

Call Chris or Bill. Chris' number should be on the site. Let us know what you find out.

yeah, they seem to be the only brand that isn't out with the 2010 kites. Wasn't the Surge due out in August?

As far as I know the Surge kite should be released within a few weeks together with a new bar shortly followed by the Thruster 3.

pics didn't show up. So it sounds like we can expect 2010 gear from Eclipse.

It's funny how "What comes around, goes around" since the release shown above is the exact duplicate of what Bob Wendler from Windwing and I designed almost 3 years ago. They still use it today.

Regarding that quick release.
I have tried a few below the bar depower control bars. There is often a bit of jerking the line to release it from the clam cleat.
Does this not cause the chicken loop to accidentally release on the shown model?
Edit: See below

I've seen it cause the kite to hindenburg... pull too hard on the front lines to the the cleat to release and the kite loses it AOA and dives. That said, looks like the LF bar from last year. I'm sure that designers sell solutions to different companies. Improved look over the morph

Right, the morph probably deserves the price for the worst designed bar ever. Would like to know who tested and aproved such a piece of junk ...
