Has anyone used or know anything about this product? credible? any info?

Does it sound like a good idea top protect the kite in this way? Any insight is greatly appreciated, good or bad.

Thanks all in advance.

It is similar to Armorall, you can get it at any big box store.

Not sure if is as simple as just getting Armorall, but same principle.

You mean I can put car-wax on my kite? I mean, of course i can put it on, but will it do any good/not damage the tissue? Which one should i choose?

Are you referring to http://www.armorall.com/products/view_p ... rotectants

If you are, it sounds ok exept for some reason is says:

Attention: Not for use on floors, vehicle controls (pedals, grips, steering wheels), bench or cycle seats, cycle tires, brake drums and other surfaces where slipperiness may be hazardous. Do not use on or near clear plastic surfaces, glass (may cause smearing), fabric, woven materials or paint.

I have used it and it works great, but you don't need it for new kites, new kites have protection for around 60 hrs of exposure.

I put carnauba wax on the kite lines. Armorall is for plastic and rubbers, not on car paints.

We should be all pretty interested by a product like that. Anyone else with good/bad experience with such products. Does the stuff they sell in Diy store works as well on kites ? I'd love to read more about that.

i was using products for tents impregnations, works good (excellent waterproofing, average improvement in porosity) but it was little pricey

Before I started putting wax etc on my kites and maybe using a Buffer while at it, I would ask the kite company. U V is more harmful than water. That's why I use 20W 50 motor oil on mine!!! :desperado: :desperado: :desperado: :happybirthday:
