Aha :) Yes i have a 2013 catalyst. I understand every design will result in different behavior, but what i tried to ask is if its possible to say something about a aspect ratio of x will result in behavior y, so its possible to find for example a top 3 of most likely suitable lw kites.

Low aspect are the fatter kites-Fat Lady, Infinity, Big Mama, Kahoona, Evo, etc.
They sit further back in the window when they fly and are not automatic upwind machines, but for big kites they turn fast, so they are fun for tricks and they relaunch easily.
Higher aspect skinny kites like the Ozone Edge, North Dyno, Epic Racer etc sit forward in the window when flying and go upwind well, they tend to turn slower, and do not relaunch as easily.
Some kites seem to sit in the middle, I have found the Zephyr to be one of those ans to have great low end and also to be able to have pretty good top end for a 17M kite. The Zephyr dos not turn as quick as the lower aspect kites on the list up top, but is quite good.

Yep old n broken beat me to it. What he said above. Hence you need to consider the right kite for the style you are after. Also conditions. High aspect is not great in the low end in swell and currents as they want speed in the wing.
