Not that it is ideal but would a piece of gaffa tape at the base stiffen it up enough to keep it from bending?

Unfortunatly only if i applied new gaffer every time i went kiting...and enough of it to hold it straight out. Otherwise the gaffer would crease where the bend in the float is or if the gaffer keeps the float ridgid and straight the float will probably bend and hold higher up.

I've been able to demo the Naish Pivot twice now; once last fall and once this spring. Basically everyone in our group who's had a chance to fly them (maybe 8) has been a big fan. Big enough of a fan that kites are being bought.

I directly came off a Switch Nitro v4 12m and hopped on a Naish Pivot 11m. The pivot has a tendency to turn very fast and very easily. There's no feeling of muscling the bar around ever. You dive the kite and the power delivery is smooth but then once the kite accelerates up and out it has a nice "surge" to it. More apparent than most other kites I've flown. Sort of like driving a car with a turbo, there's slight lag to the kick.

Related to that I found it doesn't eat up gusts quite as smoothly as the Nitro I just came off of. I'd get popped off the water slightly and then have to reset my edge before continuing. Not a big deal but it's worth noting as a felt difference.

The kite jumps extremely well. You send it overhead and give the bar a quick pop and you get launched off the water. That was a lot of fun. A lot of fun.

It's a fun kite for sure. More fun than pretty much any other kite I've demo'd in the last year. If you have a chance to try one, take it. My girlfriend is seriously considering picking up a quiver. Another guy in our group bought a 12m. The rest of the kiters were all impressed and all smiles.

first session today on the 10. I am not fit at the moment and it was still cold. First session since sept last year...
waouw wat a kite ! So smooth, confortable and easy.
Turns so fast when sheeted out
Didn't jump, didn't ride nice waves but I could feel it will be great

Inflation (and deflation) is so easy and fast !

very nice....on that kite you can even go straight down the line (if you wanted to) and the kite just drifts and waits for input. so so so nice.

My 2c, love it, in the sense that you dont really notice the kite . No real negative traits except for me the bar.
Personal thing but I had to butcher the bar, the swivel looks great but the tiniest bit of sand and it freezes up.
The below the bar depower just didnt work for me.
Surely , correct me if I am wrong its only a opinion, the most usefull setup would be above bar trim strap and below bar swivel?
The kite though :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Shhhhhh

Thats next years bars!

It will take 4 years for the whole industry to catch on, but that will be industry standard. Nash might resist a while, half because they just re tooled, and half because north are already doing it.

Yesterday i tried a pivot 9 against a north dice 9.
IMHO north wins hands down! More reactive, better feel thru the bar, crisper feeling.

Test the Dice against the Park.

The same audience they inspire to.

You should test the Pivot against the Neo, then you would compare apples. ;)
